He added that 1,600 trained professionals will enter the workforce annually.
National Centre for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics
As per reports, a budget of Rs. 200 crore has been fixed for the project. The institute will reportedly be named National Centre for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics. Announcing that the project, IIMC director general KG Suresh said 1600 trained professionals will enter the workforce annually. Suresh also said that various IIMC campuses will now work as regional centers.
Jammu will be the centre for north India while Kottayam, Dhenkanal, Amravati and Aizwal will be the centers in south, east, west and north-east respectively. This year, there are 12 alumni meets scheduled by Indian Institute of Mass Communication Alumni Association (IIMCAA) – beginning in Delhi from February 19 and culminating on April 23 in Kolkata.
